This was where I really started to miss Kim Manners. He always directed the season finales, and they were always epic and awesome. Kripke's writing and directing style is very slow-paced, which for the most part is fine, but for him to write AND direct a crucial season finale seemed like a bit of a mistake to me. Season finales are supposed to be exciting and leave you begging for more, but I found parts of this ep almost boring, despite the awesome stuff going on and the shocking reveals and everything. I feel as though Kim would have made it seem like it moved faster or something, I don't know. Overall, I find it the weakest of the 5 season finales.

That said, a weaker episode of SPN is still a homerun in my books. I've got a ton to talk about with this one, so let's get to it...

*Pretty sure they used the same angel statue and one of the paintings that we saw in Houses of the Holy.

Quotes -

Bobby: Dean? Dean. You listened to a word I said?
Dean: Yeah, I heard you. I'm not calling him.
Bobby: Don't make me get my gun, boy.

Bobby: *angrily sweeps everything off his desk* You stupid, stupid son of a bitch! Well, BOOHOO! I am so sorry your feelings are hurt, PRINCESS. Are you under the impression that family's supposed to make you feel GOOD? Bake you an apple pie, maybe? They're supposed to make you miserable!! That's why they're family!
