SUPERNATURAL HAS OFFICIALLY BEEN RENEWED FOR SEASON 8!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D :D :D :D
I think this calls for this old gem of a music video, made by deirdrecee for the season 6 renewal but still just as relevant and squee-inducing as ever. :D

It's pretty near impossible to avoid this particular Supernatural spoiler, but somehow I don't mind at all. Especially when the spoilers themselves are intentionally vague (seriously, SPN PTB, you learn how to keep a secret NOW?!), and when awesome fan-made promos like this one come out of it.

LOL You guys, check out what
datenshiblue did with a couple of my animations in honour of crappy ol' CW's latest stupidity...

Bwahahahaha! You know, if the studio execs were really demon-possessed, it would sure explain a lot. ;)

Update on the Canadian network situation: The network that airs SPN and SV in my area now has the movie The Goonies listed on its website for tonight in the 8-10pm timeslots, so... yeah. No loophole after all. I would imagine the Canadian networks are forbidden from airing the eps before the US. It's all about the dollar signs, after all!

Anyway, all this bad news doesn't change the fact that today is Friday January 28th, and we need ourselves some good old fashioned SAM before we bust. So, I figured I'd post my final Sam-ism as scheduled. :)
I did something different this time around. As I was preparing the clips for these past 23 days, I noticed that there were going to be A LOT of awesome Sam-isms I wasn't going to be able to include, so I decided that on the very last day (*grumbles about CW messing things up*) I'd post a montage of all the Sam-isms that were aimed specifically at teasing or making fun of Dean. ;)
Now, before anyone accuses me of Dean-bashing or something... I'm totally not. I just miss the days when these boys mocked the heck out of each other, and while Dean has always had hilarious nicknames for Sam and treated him as older brothers feel they have a right to treat their kid brothers (good-natured mocking, jeering, name-calling, shoving, taunting, etc etc), somehow the times when Sam gets one over on Dean for a change are all the more hilarious simply because they're so rare and therefore unexpected. At least, that's how I see it. So, I decided to montage it.
This is the closest I've come to vidding in over a year, and I had SO MUCH FUN putting it together. I hope you guys enjoy it, too. :)

Well, isn't that just like the CW?
Jan. 27th, 2011 10:59 pmAll this excitement for nothing, guys! The CW is delaying the new SPN episode until next week.
Is it time to break out the pitchforks yet? Because I sure know where I'd like to ram one. ;)
No word yet on whether it will still air as scheduled in Canada. It's happened before, but I'm not holding my breath. Man, what a downer!
ETA: Beware of spoilers if you scroll down to the bottom of that article. Almost caught me!
ETA2: You know what the biggest disappointment is? SPN was finally starting to get the recognition it deserved from outside sources such as TV Guide, E!Online, MTV's 10 On Top, etc, and they've been hyping the return date for weeks and making sure we all know how great the new episode will be. How many people who have heard/read all the hype are going to tune in having not heard about the switch and find themselves watching something else entirely? I'm guessing a lot. And I don't know about you guys, but whenever that's happened to me, I've grown cold about both the intruder show and the show I wanted to watch in the first place. It makes the whole thing seem so stupid. So all they're really accomplishing here is making the loyal fanbase mad, and turning away any potential new viewers. Smart move? Far from it.
And all this just to re-air the shows that aired tonight against American Idol. They never did that for SV and SPN when they were on Thursdays up against American Idol and were the bread-winners for the network. Interesting, isn't it? These are the shows that Dawn O has always had a beef against, and it's like she's giving one last slap in the face to SV and SPN fans before she heads out the network door this summer. Maybe because we fans have been getting SPN more attention and promotion than she ever let it have during her reign? Kind of a "How dare you run to Daddy when Mommy told you you couldn't have it?!" reaction. I dunno. I'm just bummed.

Another Supernatural victory
Jan. 3rd, 2011 05:10 pmE!Online's year-end "Best Show of 2010" poll has closed, and the results are in - Supernatural takes the crown! Once again, I am SO proud to be one of the "most dedicated, die-hard fans of any show on television." :D

CHCH having a change of heart?
Oct. 8th, 2010 02:57 pmEr... wait a second. CHCH's listings for tonight show Smallville and Supernatural at 8pm and 9pm. Dare I hope they've come to their senses and decided to start airing them along with the US??
They kept airing ads for the next episode during last night's airing of 6x02, but I tried not to pay very close attention because HOLY CRAP SPOILERS, so they might have been trying to tell us they were switching the night. Hmm. On their website it still says Smallville is on Tuesdays and SPN on Thursdays, but tonight's TV listings on two different websites clearly say new SV and SPN tonight.
So... for my fellow Canadian SPN fans? WE MIGHT GET TO SEE IT LIVE AGAIN!!!! *hopehopehope*

SPN Soundtrack!
Aug. 13th, 2010 02:59 pmCan we say fuh-HINALLY??
Supernatural Original Television Soundtrack, seasons 1-5, released on Amazon September 7, and apparently on the official website on August 24.
And the angels begin their Hallelujah chorus...
Btw, #11 is my favourite SPN theme EVER. I watch that scene from Provenance a million times over just to hear it. ;)
I sampled them all, and they're all such familiar friends! *hugs them all* Can't wait to own this. Also, the titles are HILARIOUS. My personal favourite - "Luci'fer, You Got Some 'Splainin' To Do!" ;)
