Just so y'all know? I'm sticking with LJ. I'll miss those of you who are leaving, but this is my home. Even if I end up only talking to myself. Hey, it's a journal, so that's only fitting, I guess.
I came here and I'm still here for the icons. It's a rather big community here and doesn't seem to exist on DW. We should be fine with paid accounts though which I need anyway so I can upload my 135 userpics lol
It didn't seem all that bad to me. Most social media platforms would freeze your account and let the government see it if you're suspected of something that requires a thorough investigation. That's not to say that they will... just that they're allowed to if it comes to that. And why not? It's their website, we're just using it. But I'm sure LJ would never knowingly put their users at risk for simply exercising free speech on their private journals.
Honestly, if so many North Americans hadn't abandoned ship for DW years ago, the move to Russia would never have happened. Once they did that, it was inevitable. :(
