Nope, I use plain ole GIMP for everything. It's weird, I'm actually starting to like that stupid crappy program. ;)

Oh, awesome! I have GIMP on this computer and I've been using it a lot too. Still don't get the hang of a few things, but I'm learning! I didn't know you could make animations with it - I guess it involves layers?

Yep, you have to work on each layer separately first, then join them all together using the "Add layer" thing. When you save it as .gif it asks if you want to blend all the layers together or save them as an animation, so you just select the animation option and voila! :)

It takes a while, since you have to brighten/sharpen/whatever each layer separately and then load them all one by one, but I've figured out a few shortcuts over time so it doesn't take me quite as long. I click the same things so often I can pretty much do it with my eyes closed by now, LOL. It might go faster in Photoshop/Image Ready, but I'd be lost if I ever tried it!

Ooh, very cool. I may try using that instead; I don't have PS/Image Ready - just Animation Shop that came with my Paint Shop Pro. It's nice, but it's really cumbersome and slows my computer to a crawl. I'm definitely gonna try doing that in GIMP and see what happens. Thanks for the info!
