Supernatural 5x14 - My Bloody Valentine
Aug. 30th, 2010 05:08 pmGrossest episode EVER. Yet somehow, also one of the best.
( Spoilerful episode thoughts )
Clippage -
*Sam strung out
*The final scene - "That's not him in there" and getting some air. Having watched the entire series in such close succession like this, I think I can honestly say that, aside from certain moments in the season 5 finale, this scene moves me more than any other. I hope they put that instrumental piece on the soundtrack.
Randomness -
*The title My Bloody Valentine is, of course, a direct reference to Jensen's movie of the same name.
*Jay Brazeau, who played the pathologist, was also the library guy in Provenance. Always love that guy. :)
Quotes -
Sam: Alright, I'm just gonna go through some files. You can go ahead and get going.
Dean: Sorry?
Sam: Go ahead. Unleash the Cracken. See you tomorrow morning.
Dean: *confused* Where am I going?
Sam: Dean, it's Valentine's Day. Your favourite hoilday, remember? What do you always call it? Uh, Unattached-Drifter Christmas?
Dean: Yeah. Uh, yeah, well... be that as it may, I don't know. Guess I'm not feelin' it this year.
Sam: So you're not into bars full of lonely women?
Dean: Nah, I guess not.
Sam: *stares*
Dean: What?
Sam: It's when a dog doesn't eat. That's when you know something's really wrong.
Dean: Remarkably patronizing concern, duly noted.
Sam: You mind if we take a look at the bodies?
Doc: Not at all, but like I said, their good-and-plenties are already Tupperwared.
Sam: Super.
Doc: Just leave the keys with Marty up front, and please, gentlemen, refrigerate after opening.
