Supernatural 5x08 - Changing Channels

Ahhhhh, this episode... the most cracktastic premise ever, somehow turned into a hugely important storyarc episode, and pulled off with absolute brilliance. I LOVE THIS SHOW.

Randomness -
*Mention of Dr. Sexy M.D. being "a book." That was first mentioned in 4x18.
*In season 2, Dean didn't know what MySpace was. Now he's talking about "Facebook friends"? What happened there?
*I seem to recall hearing that the person who searches out music for SPN also does the same for Grey's Anatomy, so the music heard in the Grey's spoof was totally music the show would actually use. If you listen to the lyrics, though, they chose those particular songs out of a delicious sense of irony. ;)
*The "Johnny Drake" character Dean refers to is a blatant nod to the Grey's Anatomy character Denny, played by Jeffrey Dean Morgan. They seemed to purposefully combine the names "John" and "Denny," and I like to think that Sam's derisive "This show has ghosts? Why?" comment was a subtle dig at the show for stealing OUR potential ghost for no logical reason. Humph. :P
*The CSI spoof reminded me of Dean's line about "my man Dave Caruso" in Time is On My Side. He's totally a closet fan.
*The actress who played Dr. Piccolo was also in Dead Man's Blood.
