Mar. 10th, 2010 03:43 pmThis is one of the most awesome fan-made SPN promos I've seen yet. I just... can't even. Watching it got me SO FIRED UP for the rest of this season! Seriously, using the archangels' Big Speeches as voiceovers while the clips play out exactly what they're saying? GAH!!! My heart was doing somersaults through the entire thing!

You know... part of me can't wait to see how this whole thing plays out, but at the same time, I'm loving the heck out of NOT KNOWING. I honestly think the best thing about this show is the anticipation. I have never ever ever in my TV-loving life been so insanely GIDDY over what's going to happen next in a show as I am for EVERY SINGLE EPISODE of Supernatural. I sit there squeeing out loud and clapping my hands with glee during the opening recaps every week, wondering how they're going to address these plot points and OHMIGOSH THAT CHARACTER'S COMING BACK?! and WHAT, THAT WASN'T JUST A ONE-OFF THING?! and AUGH MAYBE THAT WASN'T AS RESOLVED AS I THOUGHT!!, etc. That's why I can't stand even the slightest hint of a spoiler, because the rollercoaster ride just wouldn't be the same if you knew exactly how and when to brace yourself for the twists and turns and sudden drops and climbs and spins and... okay, that analogy's making me nauseous now. ;)
But seriously. Debating with yourself and other fans about how you think things will turn out, the AMAZINGLY SPECTACULAR VIDDING COMMUNITY (and I'm guessing the fanfiction community, too) that explores all the options along the way to give you a taste of what MIGHT be coming down the road as well as keeping the memory alive of what we've already seen... it's all such a great ride!
If you're one of the many who are waiting until the show is over to get into watching it... I would strongly urge you to reconsider. Join us now! There's still time to catch up before the new episodes start! And if you're a disillusioned fan who's lost your joy for one reason or another over the past few seasons... come back! Remember what an awesome show this is, what a spectacular cast and writing team we get to enjoy, and that even in its lowest moments this show stands head and shoulders above 95% of the best TV has to offer. Whatever direction it takes, it always rocks it just as hard as it possibly can. That's something we should all be proud to be a part of. :)
There's a reason Supernatural earned the People's Choice Award for fave scifi/fantasy show this year. It just keeps getting more and more epic, and I can't wait to see how it all comes together. Then again... like I said, the wait is all part of the experience. I never want this show to end!!!
